This hot hatch might have been built to transport vampires around the Alaskan countryside, but don't worry it can take normal people to work or school in style. 151,000 miles of super safe motoring are on the clock and it needed a little help to catch its breath. In the last 100 miles the front struts, rear shocks, CVs, front control arms, and all sway bar endlinks were replaced. The motor mounts are fluid filled and worked until they had no life left to give. That mess was cleaned up and they were replaced with brand new mounts. When the car would go over a bump the turn signal would turn on randomly as if to say, pull over now, I really need a break. A new turn signal stalk was installed and now it's ready to charge ahead. The car wasn't optioned from the factory with cruise control so long trips were a bit tedious, the dealership installed the cruise buttons and the software updates to enable it, along with a brand new key and programming for that. The tires are in excellent shape and have tons of life left in them, a standout item from the other consumables on the car. Days of work went into saving this from certain demise, hopefully someone else is ready to love this swedish hot hatch for the next 151,000 miles.
